My Favourite Marmalades…

Being a proud Red-Head or “Ginge” as I’m often referred to, I thought I’d dedicate a post to some of my favourite flame-haired lovelies…

Emma Stone
The stunning and super sassy Emma Stone, using her red hair to bag Spiderman!
Benedict Cumberbatch
Benedict Cumberbatch completely had me in The Imitation Game. watch it, NOW!
Nicole Kidman
Elegant, rarely gets it wrong in the fashion stakes and used to be married to Tom Cruise. Nicole Kidman is a red-headed Hollywood Power House.
Isla Fisher
From Home and Away to Hollywood, Isla Fisher has earned her acting cred. I’m pleased to see that she has never strayed away from her natural ginger locks.
Rupert Grint
Some would say better than Harry Potter? I hope to see more of Rupert Grint in the future
Susan Sarandon
A Hollywood institution, Susan Sarandon is a true icon.
Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore has a history of playing strong leading ladies, a real role model for women and girls everywhere.
Prince Harry
Finally, Prince Harry. He’s a prince…

So we have a prince, a few sex symbols and a handful of Oscar winners, Not too shabby my fellow Marmalades…

Flowers, flowers everywhere?

It seems that you can’t have a wedding without flowers, I think it’s something that every bride feels they ‘have’ to have even though they can be crazy expensive and lets face it, they’re probably going to die the next day.

I’m not saying that I’m against flowers at a wedding but I think with a little thought and creativity, you can create some really amazing bouquet’s, centrepieces and decorations without a flower petal in sight.

I thought I’d use this post to share some of my ideas of alternatives to flowers and hopefully save some of you some money. You’ll also have something to keep and cherish long after the big day.

Something for all you book lovers
Something for all you book lovers, a bouquet made out of the pages of a book.
Butterfly bouquet
Such a pretty idea and you could add feathers to soften.
Pearl bouquet
Great for a ‘Gatsby’ themed wedding.
Apple centrepiece
Lovely centrepiece for an Autumn wedding. This will add a cosy atmosphere to the room.
Book centrepiece
If the couple are book lovers, they could use some of their favourite titles stacked as centrepieces for a personal touch.
Log centrepiece
Simple, elegant and rustic.
A great cheap DIY idea to brighten up any empty spaces. Choosing the colours effectively will really help pull your theme together.
These centrepieces are from my sisters weddings. She's not a lover of flowers and these saved her a small fortune whilst having an impact on the guests. They loved them, especially the kids!

Another from my sisters wedding. This was slightly more expensive then a traditional flower bouquet but she still has it, currently in pride of place on her mantelpiece.

Ta Da!

This is my first ever post for my brand spanking new blog and I can’t wait to start sharing everything I learn along the way.

Here you’ll be able to follow me on my ‘journey’ (not sure how I feel about that word!) and hopefully take a bit of inspiration from my posts.

As I get to grips with this whole blogosphere malarkey, I’ll be adding more features such as supplier information and real weddings.

Please do like and share my blog and if there’s anything you’d like to see on here, send me a comment.

Thanks for visiting
